We’ve posted photos of her in the past & once again, our intuition was right about model Allison McGevna. People Style Watch announced McGevna as its new “Shape Blogger” today.
Wearing the many hats of stylist, designer, blogger, correspondent and model for nearly 10 years, Allison is no stranger to the world of fashion. The Rutgers University graduate went on to receive her Masters Degree in History at Northwestern University where she won honorable mention for her thesis.
She was first published at the ripe age of 21 when her excerpt appeared in a book titled “The Black Experience in America“. She moved on to become a staff writer North Jersey Media Group and working at NJN News.
Her experience building an entertainment and style site came when she was hired by FoxNews.com in 2007. She soon began serving as producer, editor and red carpet correspondent. Major events Allison has covered include New York Fashion Week, the Oscars, the Golden Globe Awards, and more.
While maintaining her career in media, she also gained notoriety as a plus size model for Ashley Stewart, Fashion to Figure, K-Mart, Monif C and a list of additional companies and brands.
In 2011 she founded a blog called “Inside Allie’s World,” where she shares about her personal style and covers topics such as fashion and fitness.
Allison recently released her debut fashion collection, TwentyFour20, in November of 2013. The line is sold exclusively online here.
