Model turned fashion designer (and daughter of KISS bassist Gene Simmons) Sophie Simmons has launched a New Year’s Eve inspired dress line with a plus size expansion. The collection will be available exclusively at The Style Club starting today and will be sold at a 30% discount from today through Dec.14th.
In an interview with Yahoo Style Simmons shared,
I felt like I really had the chance to give girls confidence with affordable clothing. If you have a platform, you should use it….A lot of the designers that I love don’t fit me…I grew up as a chubby kid and into a curvy girl
With a dress size fluctuating between U.S. size 8 through size 12, Sophie has a complete understanding of what it’s like to dress a thick figure.
She continued adding,
I have cellulite, stretch marks and freckles — and that’s fine with me.
