A Diamond: Pearl’s Liquor Bar

[dc]W[/dc]ith the phrase “Liquor Bar” in the name, I assumed this place would be a super kicked back dive to hang with friends.  I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance created by the crystal-drenched chandeliers, candles glimmering on tables and mood lighting which created the perfect atmosphere for a cross between a casual drink with friends and an intimate gathering of business professionals in this unassuming restaurant.

When my good friend invited me to dinner at Pearl’s Liquor Bar  to dine with entertainment publicists and music industry execs, I had no expectations other than to enjoy the evening.  I wasn’t at all let down by the experience.

We arrived a 8:00pm, parked via valet which is located directly in front of the restaurant and were seated downstairs in the booth section (there is also an upstairs with outdoor dining -see photos below).  There were still a few open tables and the vibe remained fairly relaxed for the next 45mins–but close to 9pm the place started filling up with a young hip mid 20’s-late 30’s crowd.  There was music and there were also a few TV’s with sports playing–though almost hidden and not as noticeable as the music.  The waitresses were friendly as well.

I would recommend this location for those in search of a restaurant  for a grown-&-sexy evening with a young and hip crowd.

Noteworthy Dishes:

  • Sangria
  • Grilled Broccollini  (*My favorite of the appetizers.  Perfectly season and marinated.)
  • Lollipop Lamb Chops
  • Pearl’s Burger (a more gourmet style burger with delicious onion marmalade.  Served with home-style french fries covered in parmesan reggiano and parsley)
